Now THAT’s the kind of entrance everyone wants to make! No reservations, all of our courage and boldness on display and absolutely nothing standing in our way. But, so often it does not go that way; so often I have held back, been reserved or not said what should have been said in that moment; so often I have had doubts about my ability and listened to the criticism of equally insecure people around me, instead of paying attention to the still small voice on the inside say: “I believe in you! You’ve got this.”
Proverbs 4:23 tells us to guard our heart ABOVE ALL ELSE for out of it flows the issues of life. In my experience, this has been absolutely true. It has been crucial for me to choose who I listen to and choose what I let into my heart.
The more I looked to those around me and society to define me, the more I retracted from who I really was. The demands that life places on a person can be overwhelming. This whole world system is designed to keep you running in circles, chasing some idea of acceptance and approval that eludes so many.
But there is a system that we were designed for that can not only bring out our best selves, but enables us to do the same for those around us. The Kingdom system, God’s perfect will and plan for us is where we find our most fulfilment. I have found that the more I let God in to identify me and give me His vision for my life, the more I would take risks and step out in boldness. i have experience deep healing and profound understanding in this system. Here I find peace and rest, am enabled to reach for the stars and run my race with supernatural strength and courage.
This is available to all who seek the Kingdom of God. Jesus told us this in Matthew 6:33: “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
Seeking His Kingdom is the BEST WAY to guard your heart. It is the only way to live fully alive in this world – and what better way to make an entrance than as a Kingdom Seeker, a God-Pleaser!
